| Carolyn Haney,a lifelong resident of Old Bridge, New Jersey, has been singing since the age of 8. Even as a young child, Carolyn felt a strong desire to sing, knowing it was part of her lifelong plan. Early on Carolyn realized that music would be in her life and pursued a career in the field of opera/vocal music and music education. In 1995 Carolyn graduated from Westminster Choir College Of Rider University with a BM in Music Education/Voice. She then followed what she thought was God's plan for her life and began a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy. In 1998 Carolyn graduated with a MM in Vocal Performance/Pedagody from Westminster Choir College of Rider University and followed seriously her dream to sing. During her time at Westminster she suffered a knee injury and kept on trying to focus on performing while the Lord pulled her in many different vocal directions. Genres of all kinds of music fell into her lap and her voice held on through all the different challenges. Soon she met her husband, married and had her first child. After the birth of her daughter, Carolyn suffered a health crisis that was different than all of the other issues she had dealt with earlier on in her life. Already having been through many trials and tribulations she found herself paralyzed and in a hospital bed, with a four month old unsure of what direction her life would now take. Carolyn knew suffering, yet this was different. Carolyn realized that God was trying to speak to her heart and change her path and direction. It wasn't about walking again; it was about listening to God and following his will for her life. Moving onward and having a plan that would touch the hearts of others. Through the next few months Carolyn grew emotionally and spiritually in ways beyond this earths comprehension. So did her voice! Her charismatic, powerful and well trained voice took on a life of it's own and began to stand on Gods power and mercy and most importantly, GODS GRACE! Now, as a mother, wife, singer, and more importantly, a child of God, each day brings on it's own demands. However, knowing Carolyn is following Gods plan and listening ever more intently than before, allows her to fight for what she knows is appropriate and just. Carolyn is walking and flying along on Gods power and grace. Her music is an expression of all that surrounds her and lives with her soul. Her voice captures the essence of an individual come full circle. A woman trying to live a life of compassion and understanding for Gods amazing love and mercy.
